Description
Your own 4-week training plan. Running, strength, or both.
Your Pace Crew. A private Messenger group chat with five other Outrunners, all starting at the same time.
A weekly live call. Sunday evenings, US Eastern Time. Open to all Pace Crew members, not just your crew.
Program details
- 4 weeks: November 1 to 28.
- Your focus: running, strength, or both, your choice.
- 2 to 5 sessions a week.
- Every session has a full, short (15 min) and minimum (2 min) version.
- Your plan is built around your goals, time available, and where you're currently at.
- Crew of six in a private Messenger group chat.
- Crew check-ins throughout the week.
- Live call every Sunday evening, US Eastern Time. Optional, for all Pace Crew members. Calls aren't recorded.
Is Pace Crew for you?
- You're getting back into it after months, or years, away.
- You run but want to get stronger, or you lift and want to run more.
- You start strong, then stop.
- You train alone and want people in your corner.
- You're training for a specific race.
- You want to train without getting injured, or you're coming back from an injury.
How it works
- After your purchase, you'll get a login link to the Pace Crew web app. The app goes live October 29. If you buy before then, your link arrives as soon as it's ready. There's nothing to download. It opens in your browser on your phone or computer.
- Register and fill in your details: your current training and your goals.
- We build your plan and match you with Outrunners who have similar goals.
- Your plan lands in the app, and you're added to your crew chat.

MEET YOUR PACE CREW LEADER
Siggy
Founder of Outrun the dark.
I started Outrun the dark in 2018 after running helped me out of a depression, and I figured there had to be other people out there like me. There were.
Pace Crew is my way of bringing what our community is about into your week. A plan that fits your life, and a small crew to help you through it.
YOUR PACE CREW
Train together
You'll be in a private Messenger group chat with five other Outrunners, all starting at the same time. Check in through the week, share your wins and the hard days, and keep each other going.
Your 4-week schedule
Week 1: Find your rhythm
Start a little below what you think you can do. Meet your crew and get the first sessions done.
Weeks 2–3: Build
Your plan steps up gradually. Your crew keeps you going through the week, and the Sunday call is there when something gets in the way.
Week 4: Look back
Ease off a little. Look at what worked, what didn't, and what you want next.
Every week
Crew check-ins throughout the week.
One optional live call every Sunday evening, US Eastern Time, open to all Pace Crew members.
FOR EVERY PACE
Forward is a pace
Walk, run-walk, run or lift. Every session has a full, short and minimum version, so there's always something you can do.

FAQ
Do I need to be a runner?
No. You can pick running, strength, or both. If you're walking or doing run-walk right now, the plan starts there.
I have an injury. Can I still join?
Yes. Tell us when you register and we'll work around it. The plan isn't medical advice, so if something hurts sharply or gets worse, stop and see a professional.
How much time does it take?
You choose how many sessions a week (2 to 5). Every session has a full version, a short version (15 minutes) and a minimum version (2 minutes) for busy days.
Do I need to download anything?
No. The Pace Crew app runs in your browser on your phone or computer. Just log in with the link we send you. You can save it to your home screen if you want it to feel like an app.
Do I need Messenger?
Yes. Your crew chat is a private Messenger group, so you'll need a Facebook Messenger account.
Is the weekly call just for my crew?
No. There's one call every Sunday evening, US Eastern Time, and it's open to everyone in Pace Crew. You'll meet people from the other crews too. The exact time and link come by email.
Do I have to join the call?
No. It's there when you want it. Calls aren't recorded, so your crew chat is where most of the day-to-day happens.
How are crews put together?
We match you with Outrunners who have similar goals and levels, as best we can depending on who signs up.
What if I miss a session or a week?
It happens. Repeat the last week you finished and keep going. No doubling up, no starting over.
What if I get sick or injured during the program?
Tell us in your crew chat. We'll adjust your plan so you can pick it back up when you're ready. If something hurts sharply or gets worse, stop and see a professional.
What equipment do I need?
Whatever you have. The plan works with what's available to you, from bodyweight at home to a full gym.
Can I use a discount code?
No. Discount codes can't be used on Pace Crew.
When do sign-ups close?
November 1, or when all 30 spots are gone.
What happens after the 4 weeks?
This is the Pace Crew pilot. Before it ends, you'll hear whether we're running it again and what the next program looks like.
